Most of the roasts I’ve cooked have been in the crock pot but I saw a post on The Domestic Man for “Perfect Eye of Round Roast” . It called for rubbing your roast with salt, pepper, thyme & garlic. Leave it at room temperature for 30 mins allowing the spices to settle in the roast ,then cooking it at 500 uncovered for 7 mins per lb. after that turn off the oven leaving it in the oven WITH OUT opening the door for 2.5 hrs.
I have to tell you I wasn’t quit sure if it would work for me but I’m glad I made it .

I actually wanted mine done a little more than his was so I cooked it 10 mins per lbs but other wise I followed exactly. Everyone approved and I’d make it again.
